Practice these 5 steps

  1. What step will you take to reach your goal today?

    Think about this on way to work. Pick a small visible step. Something everyone can see as a step.

  2. How will you lead today?
    What will you do? How will you demonstrate leadership?

  3. Whose career will you help today?
    What can you do to make employees jobs easier?

  4. Who are three people you will motivate today?
    What will make them feel good and encourage them to help others?

  5. 5 people you will sincerely praise today.
    We all do some good things every day. Recognize them. 

Do these 5 every day. You will be recognized. Your example will impact your team. Be recognized by people outside your team.

Take simple small steps every day. Use same 5 questions for week. Then modify questions slightly.

Questions to ask yourself next week:

  • What can you do to help employee strive toward goal?

  • Who can you help lead others?

  • Who will you help guide another’s career today?

  • How can you help team members motivate their employees?

  • Who are 3 people each team member should praise today?

Notice questions are just slightly different. Just keep making small adjustments weekly.
